October assessment learner response

Feedback:www-There is clear potential in several of my answers and also a very useful lesson in the exam technique too. EBI-very simply read the question this costs you marks in Q3+Q4.I need to write in more depth and detail for high mark questions like Q9. Q1)0 marks, because i did read the question properly. Q2)1 mark in the 1 mark question Q3)no marks in this question because i thought it was linked to the beyonce poster which was a bad mistake because it would have told me to refer to one of the figures. Q4)no marks again because i thought it was linked to the beyonce poster an i can learn from this because next time i would know to refer to the figure or not. Q5)full marks (2) Q6)full marks (3) Q7) full marks (2) Q8) this question was a four mark question and i got 2 marks i could have got full marks if i wrote 2 paragraphs one about why it is effective and another paragraph on what it communicates to to the audience. 4)One of my stronger questions was q6 this was one of my strong

Blog feedback and learner response

WWW: What an excellent start to GCSE Media – well done! You are fully up-to-date with your blog and there is already a good standard of work. Your Denotation and Connotation work and your Stranger Things analysis both contain some good depth and detail to your analysis. This is essential for reaching the top grades in Media. I’m delighted you are aiming for a 7+ grade and completely agree that should be our target. The challenge now is making sure that analytical depth and detail is consistent across all of the work that we do. Finally, your fantastic fruit bowl demonstrates your creative and design skills which will be important for the 30% coursework aspect in Year 2.   EBI: A couple of your blog pieces lack a little detail (e.g. your key concept film poster analysis or your latest camerawork and editing analysis). Try and write about a range of possible meanings being communicated to the audience – this will add depth to your analysis. Read my examples on the Year 1 Media blogposts

Camerawork and editing analysis

1.three camera shots from the clip  1.0.36 in the clip we see a medium close up shot on the girl and her mother the effect this has on the audience is that it allows the audience to see the emotion on the girls face in this shot whether she is sad, happy, angry etc. 2.0.53 in the clip we see a long shot of the prime minister in her living room which seems to be a modern English living room and it tells us that the prime minister is trying to save the world in her living room and it allows the audience to see the background of the shot 3.the close up shot on the girl at 0.30 allows the audience to see the emotion on the girls face and this has an effect on the audience because it allows us to have a connection with the character.   2.camera angle 1.the high angle shot at 3.32 makes the man look small and weak the effect this has on a the audience is that it makes the audience feel that someone is high or taller than him which makes it intimidating. 3.One aspect of camera movement in the

Mise-en-scene Stranger Things analysis

Three questions   1.The meaning for each of the clamps is c,costume,l,lighting and colour,a,actor placement/movement,s,setting and props. 2.Stranger Things is a drama, fantasy and horror TV show 3.Costume The costume of the characters in stranger things for example the 1980's t-shirts and jumpers also the typical lab coat on the man in the begin signify's that this is a scientist. Also the costume of the dad in a vest shows that this is a 1980's dad.The connotation of the lab coat could mean that the man was running some tests but ended up going wrong hence why he was running away from a creature in the start of the video. Lighting The flickering light throughout the whole video in the garage, elevator, the bike light, lab, bulb is very important for the show because when ever the flickering starts it means that the creature is around and when i goes really bright we know or signify's hat the creature has caught his victim. Also the dark shadows show a sense of horror and dark
