Advertising:Key conventions

 1) a key convention of a print advert is a catch phrase and we see this in the skittles advert as 'Taste the rainbow.' It also has the brand logo 'skittles also a colour scheme and a connotation for the skittles print advertisement would be that they see their brand as a joyful brand with the various colours. 2)The brand logo may appeal to a target audience by it's colourful colour scheme it may also appeal to a fan by its catchy slogan which is 'Taste the rainbow'.it would also appeal to young child by its bright and colourful colour scheme. This is used in a way for them to market their item and get more sales. 3)The USP of the Skittles brand is Teenagers and and young children and we know this because of the use of their bright colours to attract. This is also the target audience because they know that generally this age group consumes more sweets than adults.

Magazines blog assessment

 1)A magazine convention is what we commonly see on a magazine. For example we see a key convention in the Tatler magazine which is cover lines on the bottom of the central image in bold which is their for us to get an idea of the magazine. 2)The front cover of the Tatler magazine uses media language to appeal to their target audience because they denotate that they are talking about high end things for example when they say 'she looks good in pearls' showing the literal meaning that they cater to people who are more wealthy. they also use use a colour scheme which is constant throughout the whole magazine and is a simple colour scheme of gold and pink and also have a serif fonts on their letters.it also gives identification and it looks appealing as well. The also use demographics in the magazine because they catering to a specific group of people which is the upper class people. Reveal CSP

 1) we see that there is a multiple images of celebrities, we also see that there is a bar code at the bottom of the magazine, we see the title of the magazine Reveal, we also see the cover lines in this magazine. 2) in the magazine we can see that the type of font they have chosen to use is a sans serif font. This connotes that the people who designed the cover were going for a modern style of font something that is approachable to their audience. 3)The cover lines appeal to the Reveal audience by telling them the lives of celebrities and how they go on about their day to day life which interest them because people are now more interested in celebrities day to day life. 4)The connotations of the colour scheme they have chosen is a bright and vibrant look to the cover and the colour scheme isn't just one set colour it is a mix of colour which i believe the did to catch the eye of their audience 5)Images are used to create interest by putting the main celebrities that they are focus...

Tatler CSP case study
