1)the editor introduces the magazine as a magazine targeted at people who have a high social status (rich people).They also seen as people who like to go shopping and have these extravagant lives.

2)These demographics suggest that the average Tatler reader are females the average age is 41 and that the abc1 percentage is 83% and it also tells us that 70% of people who are in London rea Tatler. 

3)Fashion is seen as something that is expensive also clothing that is designer appealing to the higher social class.

4) They have may special editions throughout the year for example in January they have a travel guide and in February they have a wedding guide showing that Tatler like to talk out the world and also support for other thigs like getting married.


media language

1)The connotations of the the serif fonts tell us that Tatler are trying to give a certain impression to their audience and tell them what type of audience they have which we know are rich white people.

2)The Tatler cover lines would appeal to people who are in a high social class also people who are rich and posh.it appeals to them because of the serif font and the design on the end of the letters. and the design looks formal which is why the higher class people would appeal to this type of magazine

3)The central image is used to create interest by the Mise-En-Scene in the props/Jewellery she is wearing such as the bracelet the necklace and also her clothes may appeal to a certain audience.  

Representations

1)The main group that is being represented in the magazine is women and they are being heavily represented as people who like clothing and jewellery.

2)The cover lines suggest that the lifestyle of rich white people is that they are into clothing Jewellery and other high retail fashion .

3)There are some stereo types that are in the magazine from the quote 'she looks good in pearls' suggesting that women look good in pearls but men could look good in pearls as well. they do this because they are trying to appeal to women specifically.

4)The preferred and oppositional reading of the Tatler magazine is that the oppositional reading would be that women are not presented in the correct way and are only shown to be interested in fashion and clothing. Whereas the preferred reading would be that the the producer of the magazine wants you to see women as people who are interested in things like Jewellery and clothing.

Social and cultural context

1)The parts of British that are not reflected in the Tatler magazine are country side culture urban areas city lifestyle is not represented in this Tatler magazine.

2)This shows that the magazines representation in the British lifestyle is about having extravagant things.

3)Groups that may be offended by this is the posh society or the higher social status group of people who may believe that it is not fair for them to be represented in that way.

4)Their front cover tend to feature celebrity's or high end clothing they also tend to talk about clothing and gossip about people also Meghan Markle is featured twice in their magazine.
