class: industry and audience blog tasks

 industries 

1) BBC three objective at the start of 2016 was to entertain young people and to get more people to watch BBC 3 because at the start it was doing to good.

2) BBC 3 went online because young people changed the way the access entertainment and started to watch online

3)class meets the BBC's mission statement with inform and educate and to entertain because class bring s and audience of a younger background to entertain them and to have a connection with the characters.

4)The distribution of class distributed to its failure because it was aired on BBC three which at the time not many people watch which was why its wasn't as known also because it was a doctor who spin off series 

5)The advertising and marketing that was used to market class was that they used many adverts and trailer and had the doctor from doctor who star in some off them hence why i believe the show wasn't marketed properly because it was a spin off show for doctor who and doctor who already had a large fan base so the spin off wasn't very known.

Audience 

1)The viewing figures for class were very bad at first when they first aired on BBC three (online only) but later on when it got moved to BBC one it aired quite late at 11:30 pm which was after the watershed which meant many people wouldn't watch it because of how late it showed.

2)i believe a working class audience would enjoy watching this because it allows them to come home from a hard days of work and enjoy watching a action thriller spin off to Doctor Who.

3)

personal identity:class allows personal identity because it allows a young viewer to relate to how they live their life and how they live their own lives.

personal relationship: an audience will be able to have a personal relationship with the characters because they may have seen in other shows so they feel they have a personal relation ship with the character,

Narrative features also communicate meaning with mise-en-scene and props with April's knives which communicate to the audience that something dangerous is going to happen or a fight is going to happen. 4)

Doctor who:language and representation

social and historical context 1)An unearthly child reflects the social and historical contexts of the 1960's by the typical way of how men where shown to have more power and status over women and we see this with when the doctor completely ignores what Barbra wright says to him. 2)Audiences might react in a way where they may be scared at least for a lower class background or a audience may be confused and may not understand what science fiction is. Language and close-textual analysis 1)The Tardis scene where the doctor and the teachers are trapped are trying to find a way out but the doctor still seems to be a cunning and evil villain. In this scene we see lots of narrative in this scene wit the use of the Todorov-equilibrium theory the mystery of where Susan lived.Also the disequilibrium is now provided with the teachers being trapped. Also in the first scene we learn a lot about the characters and their morals with Susan Foreman dressed like a typical teenage girl in the 1960

I Daniel Blake

 1)The independent cinema is very different to the Hollywood cinema because independent films aren't about the money and how much profit it makes but about giving a message out to people  but whereas Hollywood films like doctor strange are all about making back the money they spent on the film. 2)I,Daniel Blake is a social realism film which is a about a man who is living of benefits and is trying to go against the system of benefits. 3)Ken Loach is the director of I,Daniel Blake and it is important because Ken Loach is a director known for making these social realism movies and has director power because people know him for doing these kind of movies and they will go and watch because of him. 4)Things that they did to market the film was things like they premiered the movie in Newcastle where the film is set instead of London,they projected words of the movie on walls in the streets,also they did a premier in London with Jeremy Corbyn who was the labour leader at the time. 5)One u
