Gender representation in Advertising

 1)

As we can see in these pictures we can see the representation of women in the 1950's-1960's was that women were see as a pet for men and objects. They were supposed to clean and look after the children as a stereo type which is what these

3)Specific stereotypes we can see in the adverts from the 1950's to the 1960's is that women couldn't do the jobs of men and they were put into a position in society to be housewives and to be happy to cook clean and look after children. We see this through the adverts in the 1950's with women featuring in cleaning adverts and looking happy.

4)

in this advert we can see women being sexualised and was in adverts and was a stereo type that women had to look a certain way for them to be accepted in society and deteriorates women confidence once they see because they think to them self why don't i look like that which influences a lot of women.

5)i believe my findings suggest that over the past 60 years gender representation has changed but still objectify's women in the manner that women are still being sexualised till today and that men still have a higher power over women to today's society not to say that gender representation hasn't changed but it hasn't changed in a larger scale of things.
